RawMind privacy policy

Effective 14 October 2026.

Who we are

RawMind is made by EB Technologies Inc. Framesay is our brand name. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean EB Technologies Inc. You can reach us at [email protected].

This policy covers the RawMind app for Mac and the optional RawMind connector that lets an AI client such as Claude Desktop use it. It describes what RawMind does today. If that changes, we will change this page. Our other apps and the website framesay.com have their own policies: see Framesay privacy.

What stays on your Mac

  • Your photos. RawMind opens the RAW and DNG files you choose, and works only in folders you grant it. It never modifies the RAW file. Your edits are saved beside each photo as a small recipe file (.rawmind.json), and exports go where you save them.
  • Working data. Notes, pick and reject flags, the folders you have granted, recent files and unsent messages are kept in RawMind's own storage on your Mac.
  • Your sign-in. RawMind keeps its sign-in token in the macOS Keychain. It does not store your password.

RawMind analyses your photos (for example, to find the subject or the sky) on your Mac, using Apple's built-in frameworks. That analysis is not sent to us.

What we collect

  • Your account. Your email address, how you sign in (Google, or email and password), an account identifier and your access level. We use them to sign you in and to check that you may use RawMind. The app checks your access when you sign in, when it starts, and every few hours while it runs.
  • What you send us. Messages and screenshots you send in Help & Feedback, and anything you attach. Pictures are re-encoded as JPEG, at most 2048 pixels on the long edge, with their metadata removed. We use them to answer you and to fix and improve RawMind. While you have a conversation with us, the app checks for our replies.
  • Problem reports. Testers we invite to help us debug can send a fuller report, which may include a preview of the open photo (re-encoded as above), its edit settings and a record of recent app activity. It is sent only when they press Send.
  • Automatic diagnostics. On by default; turn them off in RawMind's Account window. They record when RawMind starts and quits, whether it quit unexpectedly, each request your AI assistant made to RawMind (which kind of request, whether it worked, how long it took and a short error code, never what was in it), and failures to open or export a file (the file type and the camera make and model, never the file's name or location). With diagnostics off, nothing is recorded and anything waiting to be sent is deleted.
  • Server logs. Like most web services, our hosting provider records requests to our servers, including the IP address they came from.

RawMind connects to the internet only to sign you in and to reach our server for the access check, Help & Feedback, problem reports and diagnostics.

What we do not collect

  • Your photos and RAW files, unless you attach a picture to a message or send a problem report yourself.
  • Your conversation with your AI client.
  • Advertising or tracking data. RawMind contains no advertising, no third-party analytics and no third-party crash reporting, and does not follow you across apps or websites.
  • Payment details. RawMind takes no payments in the app today.

We do not sell your personal data.

Your AI assistant

RawMind has no AI model and no AI account of its own. It takes requests from an AI client that you install and sign in to yourself, such as Claude Desktop, through a connection that stays on your Mac and is protected by a key only your Mac holds.

When your assistant asks, RawMind gives it previews of your photos, photo details (such as camera, lens and exposure information, and the results of RawMind's analysis), the edit settings, masks and notes, the names of files and folders in folders you have granted, and, if it asks, a file itself. Your AI client sends what it receives to its provider, under that provider's terms and privacy policy. RawMind itself sends nothing to an AI provider.

Who else handles your data

  • Google, for sign-in (Firebase Authentication, and Google sign-in if you choose it), our servers and storage.
  • Telegram, which delivers notices to us about new messages and problem reports. A notice includes your email address and the first line of what you wrote.
  • Anthropic. We use an AI assistant, Claude, when we read and answer what you send us.
  • Apple distributes RawMind through the App Store, under Apple's own privacy policy.

Your data is stored and handled in the United States, and may be handled in other countries where these companies operate. We may also disclose data when the law requires us to.

How long we keep it

Automatic diagnostics are deleted 30 days after they reach us. Pictures and files attached to messages and reports are deleted after 90 days. We keep the rest until you ask us to delete it.

How we protect it

RawMind talks to our servers over encrypted connections, and what you send us is kept in private storage. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise that ours is.

Your choices

You can turn off automatic diagnostics and sign out at any time. To get a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have your account and what you sent us deleted, write to [email protected] from the email address on your account.

Children

RawMind is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, write to [email protected] and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

When what RawMind collects changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
