Terms
These terms
These terms are an agreement between you and EB Technologies Inc. ("we", "us"). Framesay is our brand name. They cover the RawLogic Mac app, the RawLogic plug-in for Lightroom Classic, the RawLogic extension for Claude Desktop, the RawLogic account and the servers behind it, and the website framesay.com. Together we call these "RawLogic".
By signing in to RawLogic or using it, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use RawLogic.
What RawLogic is
RawLogic lets an AI agent that you run make edits in Adobe Lightroom Classic on your Mac. You tell your AI client what you want. RawLogic checks the request. Lightroom makes the edit in your own catalog.
RawLogic is in a private alpha. Please read this part with care:
- It edits a real catalog. RawLogic changes develop settings in the Lightroom catalog you point it at, and can ask Lightroom to save XMP sidecar files beside your photos.
- It may have bugs. Alpha builds are unfinished. An edit may go wrong, stop part way, or not be undoable from RawLogic.
- Keep backups. Keep your own current backups of your catalogs and your photos, made outside RawLogic, before and while you use it. RawLogic saves the state of a photo before it writes, but that is a convenience and not a backup.
- It will change. Features may change, stop working or be withdrawn. The alpha may end.
- You direct it. You choose the AI client, the instructions you give it, and the photos and folders RawLogic may touch. You are responsible for the edits your agent makes with RawLogic.
Who can use it, and your account
- You need an invitation from us and a RawLogic account with a verified email address. An invitation is for you and cannot be passed on.
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into this agreement.
- Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for what is done with your account. Tell us if you think someone else has used it.
- Access to the alpha is at our discretion. We can decline an invitation request, and we can withdraw your access at any time.
The software licence
The RawLogic software is licensed to you, not sold. The licence is the file LICENSE.txt in the download package, and a copy is inside the app and the plug-in. Read it before you install. It says what you may and may not do with the software, and we do not restate it differently here.
In short, and only as a guide to that file: the licence is personal to you and can be withdrawn. It lets you install and use RawLogic on Macs you own or control, with your RawLogic account, to edit your own photographs. It does not let you copy, change, share, sell or reverse engineer the software, or use the plug-in or the extension with anything other than RawLogic.
The package also contains THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt, which lists the open-source components inside RawLogic and their own licences.
If these terms and the licence say different things about the software itself, the licence applies. These terms apply to everything else.
Alpha builds are confidential
Alpha builds are pre-release. Do not share a build, a download link or your account with anyone.
Acceptable use
When you use RawLogic, do not:
- do anything the licence forbids;
- get round the sign-in, the access check or any other control in RawLogic;
- use another person's account, or let another person use yours;
- attack, overload or probe our servers, or try to reach data that is not yours;
- use RawLogic to break the law or to infringe someone else's rights, including rights in photographs that are not yours to edit.
Your photos and files
Your photographs, your catalog and your edits are yours. Nothing in these terms or in the licence gives us ownership of them or any right to use them.
RawLogic works on your Mac and does not upload your photos or your catalog to us. If you attach a screenshot or another picture to a message to us, you allow us to store it and look at it to answer you and to fix and improve RawLogic. Our privacy page says what we receive and how long we keep it.
Products you bring
RawLogic needs products from other companies that you get and pay for yourself:
- Adobe Lightroom Classic. You need your own licence from Adobe. Your use of Lightroom is under Adobe's terms.
- Your AI client. Today that is Claude Desktop, from Anthropic. Your use of it, any charges for it, and what its provider does with the previews, settings and photo details your agent receives from RawLogic are under that provider's terms and privacy policy.
We do not control these products and are not responsible for them, for what an AI model decides to do, or for changes their makers release. An update to Lightroom or to your AI client may stop RawLogic working until we update it. We are not affiliated with Adobe or Anthropic.
Feedback
The alpha exists so that we can learn from it. If you send us feedback, ideas or reports, we may use them to improve RawLogic without owing you anything for them. You keep ownership of any photographs you include.
Fees
RawLogic is free during the alpha. You pay for your own Lightroom Classic licence, your own AI client and your own internet connection.
The service may change or stop
RawLogic needs our servers for sign-in and for the access check. We do not promise that the servers, the alpha or any feature will be available at any time or will keep running. We do not promise support or a time to reply.
No warranty
RawLogic is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we give no warranty of any kind, whether express or implied. In particular, we do not promise that RawLogic is free of errors, that it will not change or damage a catalog, a photograph or a file, that an edit can be undone, or that it will work with your version of Lightroom Classic, macOS or your AI client.
Some laws give you rights that cannot be removed by an agreement. Nothing here removes those rights.
Limit of our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for loss of data, photographs, catalogs, profits or business, that come from RawLogic or from these terms.
To the same extent, our total liability to you for everything connected with RawLogic is limited to the amount you paid us for RawLogic, if any, in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
Ending
- You can stop at any time: sign out and remove the app, the plug-in and the extension. To have your account deleted, write to [email protected].
- We can end your access, or the alpha, at any time, with or without a reason.
- Your licence ends automatically if you break it or these terms.
- When your access or your licence ends, stop using RawLogic and delete every copy of the software. The files RawLogic made on your Mac, and your own photos and catalog, stay with you.
- The parts of these terms that by their nature should continue after the end, such as confidentiality, feedback, no warranty, the limit of liability and governing law, continue to apply.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, as the licence is. The courts of British Columbia have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about RawLogic or these terms, except where the law of your place of residence gives you a right that cannot be waived.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms as RawLogic changes. We will post the new version here and update the date at the top. If you keep using RawLogic after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms. If you do not accept them, stop using RawLogic.
